ATTENTION.....SUBS FOR NEXT YEAR ARE DUE BEFORE 1st JANUARY PLEASE BE FORTHCOMING, OR WE WILL SEND THE BOY'S ROUND,YOU WON'T LIKE THE BOY'S...ONLY KIDDING,,SEE YOU ALL AT THE FIELD..REGARDS BILL BANKS.
As Secretary I've had a busy month or so, preparing for the
Annual General Meeting but thankfully that has now passed
and the results are in..!!
For those who couldn't attend and partake of the sumptious buffet,
here are the highlights of this years gathering...
- Club finances seem to be holding up satisfactorily and the Committee
recommended that the subscriptions be held at last years levels. This
was welcomed by the members (unanimously!) and combined with the
BMFA holding their subscriptions as well, means good news for us all.
- Following the retirement of Ronnie Rowbotham from the Committee,
Bill Bibby was elected to replace him. Many thanks to Ronnie for his
contribution over the last year.
- The trophies we have presented in past years have been retired (we'll
be hanging them in the clubhouse for posterity) and will be replaced with
individual ad-hoc awards. This year three awards were presented...
To Glyn Wilkinson for helping to set up the new website (you're reading
this so he must have done a good job!).
To Dave Fenton for taking many photographs and adding them to the
website gallery.
To Bill Banks for providing the catering facilities in the clubhouse
(and a substantial contribution to club funds).
- Club meetings will continue in 2011 on the first Thursday of every
month (except January) at the Weaver Hotel, Weston Point, Runcorn
starting at 8:00pm.
- Don't forget that your subscriptions for 2011 are due by 31st December,
and until your BMFA subscriptions are paid you will not be insured and
you must not fly..!
- The combination on the gate lock will be changed at the end of the year,
and the new code will be printed on your membership card.
